Eight Point Star

Owners

Marjean and Gary Evans

Location

20573 Hwy. 29, Middletown
(Destroyed in Valley Fire in 2015)

Unfortunately, the Eight Point Star was destroyed in the Valley Fire in 2015. Inspired by the Lone Star quilt that homesteader grandmother handed down to Marjean Evans, the Eight Point Star hung on a barn hand-built by the owners and their friends. Using recycled power poles and pecky cedar, the barn held multiple 4H and FHA projects for many years. Most recently, the barn was the storage place for vineyard equipment, a variety of animals, and hay.
