Lady of the Lake, a well-known quilt pattern, is also the name of an historic pear label. The label was used at Mt Konocti Growers, an agricultural pear cooperative that was started in 1926. At the height of production, there were 22,000 tons of pears processed per year. In 2004, a group of the co-op members began making and distributing a sparkling pear wine using the Lady of the Lake pear label. This quilt square honors both the historic pear industry and the new wine industry of Lake County.
